Grant Sarver
Assistant Coach

Grant is the Tribe Men’s Tennis Team Assistant Coach, starting prior to the 2022-23 season. In his first season with the Tribe, W&M was the No. 2 seed in the CAA Tournament. The program produced four All-CAA honorees, including a pair of first team selections. W&M was ranked No. 9 in the ITA Atlantic Region at the end of the 2023 campaign.

For the 2021-22 season, Grant was the volunteer assistant coach for the Cornell University Men’s Tennis Team. During his time in Ithaca, NY, the Big Red finished the season at 17-8 overall and ranked No. 60 nationally. Cornell was also No. 5 in the ITA Northeast Region and No. 18 in the mid-major rankings.

For the in 2020-21 season, Grant served as the volunteer assistant coach at the University of Richmond, helping the Spiders to the Atlantic-10 Championship match. Four UR players earned all-conference honors, including a pair of first team picks.

Outside of his experience as a collegiate coach, Sarver spent time as a teaching pro at the Westwood Club in 2020-21 and the Reis Tennis Center in 2021-22.

A native of Richmond, Grant played collegiately at Randolph-Macon College. He was a four-year starter at the top of the Yellow Jackets’ lineup in both singles and doubles. Grant was a two-year captain and a two-year All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference selection. He was 23-8 over his four seasons in ODAC play, including an 8-2 mark at the top post in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
